Hello 2020 - Snowflake #1
Thursday, 2 January 2020 12:10 amIn the spirit of "actually using Dreamwidth" and "not just forgetting about this journal", I'm tackling the Snowflake Challenge again.
Challenge #1
In your own space, introduce yourself! Leave a comment in this post saying you did it. Include a link to your post if you feel comfortable doing so.
Let's see what may or may not have changed from my original DW intro post. Mmm. Hmm. Mm-hm. *clears throat*
My name's Sarah! I go by Feckyeslife, Feckyeswriting, and Firelord65 depending on the platform (and one more on FF.net, too, but three aliases seems like enough to list out). I live in New England, always have, and will probably never leave.
I'm married and my husband is fannish, though in a pretty different direction. He's more of the trivia, BTS kind of fan although he does also create some fun Garry's Mod machinemas which are a blast to be a part of as well!
On my end, I'm the writing and fan event coordinating side of things. I've been writing off and on since 2008 which is just *counts years...* far longer than I thought at this point. My earlier pieces are alright. I'm not impressed by them, but I am proud of how I developed over the years.
As far as fandoms, I have lingered in Avatar: the Last Airbender for the longest. Even when I think that I'm done with it, I find myself longing for another year's Zutara Week. Outside of that, I'm most "known" within the Divergent fandom for cheering on the Eric / Tris ship (much to everyone's chagrin, I think). And most recently I've been fairly active again in Star Wars working with my multi-shipper's group to spread some fandom positivity. I do still write for SW, but there's a lot of back and forth where I'm not as consistent as I would like to be.
There are a few more fandoms that I float in an out of as either reader, writer, or both -- The Good Place, Star Trek: Discovery, Marvel (Black Widow, Captain America, Winter Soldier specifically), The Hollows, Detroit: Become Human, and Horizon: Zero Dawn.
Lastly, I am quite lucky to have four adorable cats and one ever-patient dog who live with us at home, too. They keep me sane. They shed all over the couch. And they only make noise at 5AM now instead of 4AM!
I'm a pretty open person, though I do take a while to answer back on comments. But if you'd like to, please feel free to say hi :3
Cheers!
