Star Trekkin'!

I'm expanding my world a bit and posting some new fic in a new-ish fandom. While I have written one other ST: DIS piece, I consider this new WIP to be more in my usual wheelhouse -- enemies to ??? to lovers eventually if I write enough growl-y, sexually charged banter.

The emperor doesn't kill Lorca. Not right away. Not while she still needs him as leverage to reinforce her claim to the throne. Desperate, he asks Michael to help save him. After all, she said that's who she was. What she does. Shouldn't she help him now?

Basically I'm wicked obsessed with the idea that, well, Michael said she would have helped Lorca. So when it comes down to it and he's about to die, will she actually do it? Obviously in That Episode she didn't know he was about to get whacked and dropped into the Core (which leads to my other favorite question -- is Lorca in the Mycelial Network like Mirror!Stamets was or how Hugh was?). I'd think she wouldn't have let Georgiou kill him had she known. Even though I know this is entirely just wishful thinking XD

I'm also reading one of the ST: Discovery spin off novels which is about Prime!Lorca and I'm hoping that it'll give me a bit more insight into how best to write Lorca either while he's under cover back in the Prime! universe or in general since tbh he's just as driven, angry, and determined as written as Prime!Lorca.
