It's July!?!
Wednesday, 1 July 2020 11:34 amWell, 50% of the year is behind us now which is super weird to think about. Overall no one's really happy with 2020 but I'm trying to take my victories where I can.
Case in point, I had my writing plan update earlier this week and, wowzers, I actually stuck to my first deadline! Learning to Relax, a ST: Disco genfic, made it out the door juuuust under the wire at 11:45 last night (details down below, under the cut). I'm happy that I was able to take the prompt and run with it to an end result that I'm overall satisfied with. The shippy part of me was yelling (and is still yelling) "YOU IGNORED THE PROMPT FOR KISSING????" but hey it's still a fun fic.

wingficex piece. Can't say too much since the pool of people's pretty small (I think 17 or 18 participants?) but it'll be fun and out of my usual comfort zone. Which is great!

fandom5k went public last night. I haven't had the time to properly sit down and read through my gift. The starting part I have read is lovely in that First Order AU world that I do so love to pieces :DDDD Looking forward to sitting down tonight to read it fully cover to cover.
I did already get a very nice comment back from my recipient which was so great. I wasn't feeling well yesterday afternoon (hence being unable to read and only finishing my ST fic at the last possible minute), so that was a nice pick-me-up. I'm always hyper critical of my contributions to swaps and events; not sure why that is other than the usual human condition. I look forward to getting to share the piece publicly when Author reveals are out :) It's been ages since I've done a proper Reylo-only piece.
Gonna go check out the first day of thesunshine_challenge now :D
