12 Days of Ficmas

We're just *checks watch* a few days out from the holiday season, but I'm not giving up on finishing the ficlets that I said I was going to do! Day 7 sees a return to my Mid-2000s AU that I think about 3 people were ever paying attention to. Ah well.

Let's Pretend We're Both on the Same Page Here - Star Wars: Sequel Trilogy, Kylo x Hux (Ben x Armie, technically), 673 words
Ben works up to giving Hux his present. It's no big deal though, clearly.

Snowflake Challenge

Day 5 - In your own space, promote three communities, challenges, blogs, pages, Twitters, Tumblrs or platforms and explain why you love them.

• Star Wars Multishippers - A Discord comm for literally any SW ship under the sun. No, really. There's a room for nearly anything you can think of. Most right now are for the sequel trilogy characters, but it only takes 1 person to get a new room open to talk about whatever ship you'd like.

I don't have any other recs as of right now ^^;; Most of my fandom interactions are 1 on 1 right now. But one is better than none, yah?

Day 6 - In your own space, create a list of at least three fannish things you'd love to receive, something you've wanted but were afraid to ask for - a fannish wish-list of sorts.

Oh lord I really have to try hard to not feel awkward and totally skip this day. BUT here goes!!

• I would love to see a "your fics remind me of..." rec list where people would mention what other authors or stories you write like. Not that I don't want to see comments on what people like in my writing - that's always a given - but I think in fandom it could be helpful or interesting to see who else is writing the same sort of stuff that you are.


• I saw this on someone else's page but I liked it a lot and am stealing it: getting told when/if my stuff is included on a rec list. It's nice to know when it happens, especially if there are any little notes on why the reader liked it enough to rec it!


• Cover art for some of my finished fics or any of my series would be pretty awesome, though I know that gift art is very few and far between


• Lastly - and highest on my list, I'd think - is feedback. Short feedback, long feedback, random shower thoughts on what happens in my pieces. From the short stuff to the long, drawn out slow burns, I just really live and die from knowing what people are thinking

I am very easily persuaded as to what subject to draw next if you want to make a suggestion. (Currently working on a sketch of Tahani from The Good Place.) I'm not very good at original poses so I can't fulfill any prompts of "I really want fan art of character X doing thus and so". I'm basically just doing portraits directly from photo references a the moment.

I would love to see that final piece with Tahani, for certain. All the lovely characters from TGP are favorites of mine ^_^ Have you done any others from there?

I've tried to draw Jason, but I'm not convinced either attempt really looks like him. I've gotten to the point in my art where I'm quite impressed that my people are turning out well, provided you don't know who they are supposed to look like, but I still keep missing the details that make them recognizable.

I can only see the Jason ones (the Tahani ones just have the alt-text visible to me), and they look AMAZING! I'm supremely impressed by portraiture. I wouldn't say that you're missing out on making them recognizable. They're beautiful :o
