Let's skip the part where I wallow in guilt and bad feelings (tm) about not having accomplished the things that I wanted, etc etc and focus on the good?
I have adopted a new cat! Cassandra the small has joined the family and she has adjusted fairly well. If I can get my bratty Arthur from play-fighting with her when she really-really-really doesn't want to, that would be great. But she's snuggly on her terms (right now she's eagerly watching the cursor blink across the screen while I'm typing this update) and so sweet. Her purrs are so LOUD for such a small cat! And she meows like no one's business when she's picked up a toy and wants someone to play with. I'm really glad that we could rescue her and give her a nice, big, safe home.
I've also implemented my Update Prove It Before The Summer is Over plan! And so far one chapter has been completed. Can-I-get-a-wahoo.gif
Chapter 30 (THIRTY!!!) is in the drafting stages. Which is to say that I'm writing and re-writing this stupid conversation between Christina, Tris, and Will for the second time since outlining it and STILL not hitting the right back and forth. I might honestly trash it for a third go around. Not sure. Depends on how things end up after tonight. I want to post this chapter on FRIDAY so I'd like to not have to re-do this 1k segment yet again. But if it's bad, it's bad. It needs to be better than that.
I've been sick which is just ugh. Not much else to say about that. Hoping that it clears up before my birthday next week.
So yeah! An update that successfully didn't just wallow. Who knew it was possible?
